The calm side of the north of Mallorca
The north side of Majorca is famous for being one of the most natural and familiy friendly areas on the island. Lively and with first class tourist centres like Playa de Muro, Alcudia and Pollença, the whole north coast, from Cala Agulla to Formentor hides ideal areas in which to get lost. They are in some ways the quieter side of the north of Mallorca.
If we take Cala Agulla, in Cala Ratjada, as a starting point, we immediately find one of them: the Natural Park of the Llevant Peninsula, which occupies a large part of the coastal area of the municipality of Artà and is home to beautiful coves in which you can forget the world and immerse yourself in nature. We continue along the coast and we come to the village of Colonia de Sant Pere, one of those places on Mallorca that take us directly to times gone by and to the authentic and calm Mallorca. In Can Picafort even with the hustle and bustle we still find places full of relaxation and calm. Son Bauló, for example, is a very quiet and family-friendly tourist area, as is the end of its coastline, which connects Can Picafort with Playa de Muro and is known as Ses Casetes des Capellans.
Then, Playa de Muro opens up into all its splendor and all the calm is mixed with the sound from terraces, restaurants, shops and chill outs.
