The Mallorcan cake recipe

The Mallorcan coca (cake) is one of those delicacies that you should not forget to taste during your stay in Mallorca. It is one of the most tasty and traditional dishes that can be found on the island. It is made with the best fresh products from the garden, although the most classic is the vegetable, there are versions for all tastes: spinach and pine nuts, trampó, vegetables, sobrasada and cheese from Mahon, mushrooms ...

Preparing it is quite simple as long as you have the ingredients to hand and they are fresh and good quality. The use of the oven is also important: the dough is key in this dish, which has to be done with care and patience and it must not be rushed. Here we leave the keys to the basic recipe.

Ingredients to make the dough:

● 1/2 glass of water

● 1/2 cup olive oil

● Flour

● Salt

● 2 Red and ripe tomatoes
