5 things to do in Cala d'Or
Touristic train ride
An inexpensive way to explore Cala d'Or, to see the beaches
and the marina. It is also a good way to get to the shops.
The complete tour takes an hour and is a great way to get to
know the area so that later you can visit again what you consider most
interesting.
The cost is €4.50 per adult and €3 per child and you can get
on and off as many times as you want during the day.
The train stops a couple of minutes walk from the hotel so
it's very convenient.
You can find more information about the route here.
A walk around the marina
A walk around the marina is always a good plan to enjoy the
sea breeze, the tranquility and the good weather. You can see the boats and eat
in one of the nearby restaurants and bars, being able to enjoy a paella or a
cocktail at sunset.
The walk from the hotel takes approximately 25 minutes. If
you decide to go by car it will take about 7 minutes. You can also arrive with
the tourist train since it is part of the tour.
Cala Gran Beach
It is the closest beach to the hotel, being only 100 meters
away.
It is a fully accessible beach for both children and people
with reduced mobility as it has a wooden walkway to reach the sea.
It has all the services: showers, hammocks and umbrellas,
shops where you can buy some beach toys and also bars where you can cool off
and even eat with fantastic views.
Horse ride, Rancho Jaume
A horseback ride is a good plan for both couples and
families. The tour is between 2 and 3 hours and you will be able to enjoy
nature and the privileged environment.
The horses are perfectly trained so it is not necessary to
have riding knowledge. Definitely a great plan to spend part of the day.
You can find more information about the activities they
offer and their schedules on their website www.ranchojaume.com
Visit Cala Sa Nau
Located barely 10 minutes by car from the hotel, Cala Sa Nau
is a small beach of fine white sand located at the end of a sea meander.
The seabed presents a great diversity, so snorkeling is
highly recommended.
The access by road is very good and it has an area set up to
park the car. The descent to the beach is carried out by means of stone stairs,
so we recommend not going down excessively loaded.
The beach has toilets and showers, as well as a wooden
walkway to reach the sea.
Once on the beach, we can enjoy the beach bar where we can
taste fresh fish, meat, paellas, salads, etc.
