A walk along the Cala d'Or beaches

What could be more relaxing than a stroll along the sand dunes and round the coves of this marvellous island surrounded by the Mediterranean.

Ap. Superior, Prinsotel Alba

One of the most well known beaches of Cala d'Or is Cala Serena, situated near to Felantix but integrated into the urbanization, and from where there is direct access for all those staying in hotels in the area during their holidays in Majorca. It is a peaceful bay, with high occupation during the summer months but with a relaxing ambience, ideal for families with young children.

Cala Esmeralda, Mallorca

Very nearby, so much so that they are often confused, is Cala Ferrera beach, very similar in size and ambience to Cala Serena. Continuing south you will find Cala Esmeralda beach, recognised as one of the preferred areas along the east coast of Majorca, where one can practise a variety of water sports and especially diving.

However, the most famous of all the coves in the area is Cala Gran, commonly known as

Cala d'Dor beach, because it is in the centre of the urbanization and the first class hotels and touristic services have developed around it. After passing the port we can find other well-known coves such as Calo des Pou and Cala Egos.
