Medieval Fair in Majorca.
From 18 to 20 May 2012 held at the castle of Capdepera the traditional medieval market, an event that transforms the place into a medieval fortress, is set especially for the occasion and among other things reproduce lights, colors, sounds and odors, so that all visitors to experience as lived in the Middle Ages.
The large influx and participation of the residents of the town, is a success year after year and testifies to the importance of this festival of culture. The resident painted wooden signs with the coat of arms depicting his name and hung from windows and balconies of their houses, while children create signals where the streets are decorated.
Among the artists and merchants, about all the Balearic Islands and other Spanish regions, trades that can be found there are blacksmiths, wrought iron, distributor of medicinal herbs, goldsmiths, scribes, carpenters, jugglers, magicians, embroiderers,masons, sculptors, cheese merchants, potters and more.
On market days, the artists offer all visitors the opportunity to purchase many products artesanlemente created by them.
