Activities for children in Mallorca
31/03/2011

Mallorca is a children's paradise.
Beaches, games, great food and interesting places to visit guarantee a happy stay for all the family.
It's
difficult for children to get bored in Mallorca, as there are so many
things to do within easy reach. The island has many activities that are
as fun as they are interesting. Here's just a few of the things to do in
Mallorca:
Palma Aquarium
(Manuela de los Herreros i Sorà 21, +34 971 264 275): Located in El
Arenal, the aquarium has realistically recreated the habitats and
ecosystems of the oceans and seas. Children can look forward to 55
aquariums, 5 million litres of sea water and more than 700 marine
species, such as turtles, sharks and corals.
Natura Parc
(km. 15, Carretera de Sineu, Santa Eugenia, +34 971 144 078): A
30,000m² park with many typical island species, such as the black
vulture, the common calamón (a chicken-like bird), the Mallorcan bull
and the black pig.
Marineland Mallorca
(Garcilaso de la Vega 9, Costa d'en Blanes, +34 971 675 125): A
recreation park where animals are the centre of attraction. Dolphins,
parrots, sharks, sea lions and others take part in the daily shows,
performing spectacular acrobatics that children will love.
The Sóller train
(Plaza España, Palma de Mallorca): The railway has connected Palma and
Sóller for more than 100 years. This famous wooden train crosses a
valley with groves of orange, olive and almond trees. The hour-long
journey passes through the Sierra de Tramuntana's stunning landscape and
will delight both children and adults.
