Cala Agulla, a very special beach
Few beaches on the island of Mallorca cause as much interest as Cala Agulla beach.
Found in the far north east of the island, Cala Agulla offers visitors a Mediterranean beach setting that's as typical as it is beautiful. This small inlet with fine sand is set in a beautiful pine woodland, lapped by crystal-clear waters that stretch as far as the eye can see.
Cala Agulla's natural surroundings can't fail to capture and hold your attention too. It's a true haven of peace with great scenic, environmental and symbolic value close to the town of Cala Ratjada.
For this reason, Cala Agulla has been declared a Natural Area of Special Interest (ANEI) by the Balearic government. This recognition aims to highlight the need to preserve the beach's natural wonders and protect them from the demands created by large crowds of summer tourists.
The strong appeal of this beach is undeniable. It's perfect for swimming, relaxing and for sunbathing... Cala Agulla will stay in your mind forever once you've felt its fine sand between your toes or read a book in the shade of a pine tree.
