Playa de Muro beach
31/05/2011
Playa de Muro beach.
You don't have to go on holiday to the Caribbean to feel the finest sand trickle between your toes!
Playa
de Muro beach has fine, powdery sand to enjoy as you walk along the
beach itself, or even in the turquoise waters that gently lap the shore.
Its sand is one of the beach's main attractions, but it's not the only one. Playa de Muro is a bit like a matryoshka (the Russian nesting dolls). Along its 5km length, you'll find a series of beaches, one inside the other, and each with its own qualities.
Two of Playa de Muro's small beaches will definitely take your breath away: Ses Casetes des Capellans beach and Es Braç beach.
Ses Casetes des Capellans
The
beach at Ses Casetes des Capellans is reached via a juniper wood. Its
name comes from the monks that fell in love with the shore and built
some of the houses that rise from the second line of the beach.
It's
worthwhile spending an entire day lying on the beach, just reading and
relaxing... It's a lovely experience, in the company of the families and
children that live locally.
Es Braç
Es
Braç beach is also perfect for relaxing among dunes of fine sand. While
listening to the sound of gently breaking waves, your eyes will be
drawn to the beautiful and varied shades of turquoise found in its
waters.
