An autumn in Majorca05/09/2013
Majorca is transformed with the arrival of autumn, the beaches ooze with tranquility, the waters are still warm and the weather is perfect to spend time outdoors, away from the intense heat from the summer months. The island is reborn during the months of October and November and becomes a premier destination for lovers of active tourism.
The beautiful Serra de Tramuntana, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, is one of the main attractions during this time of year, when the island is full of travellers looking for paths and trails in which to enjoy the union with nature and the beauty of the sea.
As well as concentrating the largest number of hiking trails in Majorca, the Serra de Tramuntana has an extensive network of picnic areas in which, as of November, you can make barbecues with the family and fun trips with children to recollect mushrooms and discover the local vegetation of the island.
The cycle tourism in Majorca is one of the most interesting proposals to enjoy a different Autumn. In our hotel in Playa de Muro, the Prinsotel La Dorada Hotel, we have special services for cycling fans, in a privileged location just steps away from the stunning Cape of Formentor.
Culture also regains much of the lost activity of the month of August and dance festivals, music, opera and art recover the main stages and auditoriums of Majorca, concentrating hundreds of spectators, as with the famous Nit del Art, that is held at the end of September in the city of Palma de Mallorca.
